About Us

Who Are We?

Digital Brunei aims to build Brunei as a country fully embracing innovation and digital technology in today’s age. From awareness of digitalisation efforts to improving access for all, from informing the latest news to providing hands-on resources, and from creating dialogue about digital transformation to carrying out action for it.

Transformation through Digitalisation and Technology

The digital era is constantly and rapidly evolving, and it is time we not only follow its lead, but be in the forefront of the technologies and trends that will better our lives.

Digital Brunei is our step forward into actualising the reality of a Smart Nation — from the way we live, work and play.

To do this, we have identified the need to employ the full scope of the Digital Economy, put forward by the Digital Economy Masterplan 2035.

Digital Economy

A Digital Economy uses technology to ensure initiatives and activities in both of the digital and non-digital sectors can drive growth and achieve impactful outcomes, such as:

• Increased productivity and production
• Enhanced efficiency
• Increased cost effectiveness
• Improved transparency and governance
• Encourages participation
• Facilitates official, business and personal transactions.

Key industry players, academia and end-users all play a significant role to accomplish the above desired results, through the Whole of Nation approach.

With that, the vision of a strong Digital Economy that contributes to economic progress and social well-being can only be realised through the digital transformation of Brunei Darussalam.

The Government, Industry and Society are closely interrelated in the eco-system of Digital Economy.

The DEC Flagship Projects on Digital ID, Digital Payment and People Hub serve as the backbone of the eco-system.

Vision

Smart Nation through Digital Transformation.

Mission

To drive and enhance Brunei Darussalam’s socio-economic growth through Digital Transformation.

Titah
